Questioning God?

Why do we question God?  He has never failed us, yet we question Him when things do not go our way.  And that's just it, we are quick to ask God why things go the way they do when they are not in our favor.  Seldom do we question God when everything falls in place just as we hoped it would.  How many times each day do you thank God for the job you have, the roof over your head or the means of transportation you use each day?  Once? Twice? A few times? Yet we will constantly pray to God for a blessing if we are unemployed, homeless, or had no way of getting from point A to point B.  We need to give God our full attention always, regardless of our current circumstances.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. –Ephesians 6:18
God is always in control and we need to be careful not to ignore Him when life is treating us well.  If life is running smoothly it is by the grace of God, not our witty maneuvers.  Likewise, when we are heading down a bumpy road, it is God who paved the road that we travel.  Do not be discouraged when days of hardship enter your life; be encouraged.  Encouraged that God loves you so much that He will do whatever it takes to help you grow as a Christian.  God uses our difficulties as an opportunity for us to strengthen our faith in Him.  Much like lifting weights, when you increase the weight above your comfortable amount, each repetition becomes harder and harder to do.  The struggle of lifting the heavier weight with each rep becoming more difficult as you begin to fatigue is actually making you stronger.  Through the struggle of lifting the more difficult weight we gain strength, and this is the same with the difficult "lifts" we face in life.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. –Ephesians 6:10-11
The devil is against us; he wants to bring us down, to pull us away from God.  It is the devil that tempts us to rebel against God's ways, questioning His plan for our lives.  When it seems that so many things are coming against you, trying to bring you down, do not wonder why.  Embrace the resistance, for the Almighty God is on your side.  He who cannot be defeated has your back.  Let me tell you, when we are faced with challenges, it is not a sign of God being mad at you, or righting a wrong you committed.  God is loving and merciful, these hardships show He values us.  Put it this way, when a burglar breaks into someone's house, they do not do so at a house in which they feel has no value.  The thief goes for the house in which he feels has great value in it, so that he can come away with something that will benefit him.  The devil is as a thief; he attacks those with value, hoping to steal their value.  The devil wants to pull us away from Jesus, and when we question God, we are allowing the devil to walk away from us with the value he seeks. And the devil will not go for the homerun right at first; he will try to constantly steal, little by little, your love for God.  He will do this until he feels you are at the point in which he can take what his eyes have been on the entire time.  The devil wants us to start questioning God here and there, no matter how little; he just wants us to question.  He knows that if he can cause us to question God enough, we will begin to not only question God, but also doubt God.  We need to be on high alert for this, as God is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.  Never should we go as far as to doubt His Sovereignty.
Do not be terrified by them, for the LORD your God, who is among you, is a great and awesome God. –Deuteronomy 7:21
